The Resource List provides a comprehensive view of accessible resources. From this central hub, you have several ways to manage and view resource timelines, create new resources, and access resource details directly from your mobile device.
Must Know:
- Only users with appropriate access rights can add, modify, or delete resources. If you need more permissions, please turn to your Account Admin/Owner.
- Starred Resources will appear in your Gantt chart view for easier planning
- Resource information and Task assignments sync in real-time with the Web App
- Offline mode: Ganttic Mobile App can be accessed offline, but you won't be able to create or edit resources in offline mode.
Opening and Navigating the Resource List
Open the Resource List by tapping on the Resources icon in the bottom navigation bar. You'll see a complete list of Resources, their colors and any additional information based on your access rights.
Resource Management Options:
From the Resource List, you have two primary pathways to manage and interact with your Resources: accessing the Resource's Agenda or starring Resources for use in the Gantt chart. Additional options allow you to search, create, edit, and view important resource information.
1. Star Your Favorites
Mark Resources with the star icon to designate them as favorites.
NB! Only starred Resources will appear in your Gantt chart view, helping you focus on just the resources relevant to your current work.
2. Access Resource Agenda & Tasks
Tap on the Resource name to view the Resource's Agenda in List mode, showing all assigned Tasks chronologically with their timing and Project name.
To view Tasks for different time periods, use the Load tasks buttons at the top of the screen.
These buttons display specific date ranges from the Gantt chart allowing you to navigate between these predefined ranges and load the desired timeframe of Tasks in your Agenda.
Tip! Tap on any Task in the Agenda to open the Task Details and make changes or delete the Task.
3. Search Resources
Use the search function from the menu ☰ in the top right corner to quickly find specific resources when working with large teams or equipment inventories. The search bar appears highlighted in blue, making it easy to spot when entering your search term.
4. Filter resources
From the menu ☰ in the top right corner, open the filtering option located below the search function to quickly adjust which resources are displayed in the Resource List view.

b. Choose what you want to display:

Unassigned – when you check the Unassigned option, Unassigned tasks/jobs will appear and will be included in your filtered Resource List:

All resources – displays every resource in the Resource List:

Starred resources – shows only the resources you’ve marked with a star in the main Resource List:

Filter by data – lets you refine the list based on specific criteria.
NB! Filtering options depend on the data fields configured in your account setup.
Filtering helps you focus on specific groups of resources, such as locations or teams.
Expand the “Filter by data” category and select the options you want to include.
After selecting your preferred filters, tap the checkmark (✓) in the top right corner to apply them.
NB! To return to the full view, open the filter menu again and select "All Resources".
5. Create New Resources
Use the yellow + action button (bottom right) to quickly create new resources directly from the Resource List.
NB! Resource creation options depend on your access rights.
When adding a new resource, fill in the details such as the name. To personalize it, click the gray box to choose an icon or the colored bubble to adjust the resource color.
NB! If you want to upload your own custom photo for a Resource, use the web version.
6. Read & Change Resource Details
To open Resource Details, first tap the resource name in the Resource List.
Then tap the ☰ menu (top right) and select Resource Details.
NB! Resource editing options depend on your access rights!
Change the items you need and Save with the Checkmark button.
7. Delete Resource
To delete a resource, open its details, then tap the ☰ menu (top right) and select Delete Resource.
8. Read & Add Resource Notes
The Resource List displays a bubble icon with a number indicating how many Notes have been added to each Resource. Tap on the bubble icon to read existing notes and add new ones.
NB! Notes can be added regardless of your Resource editing rights, making them accessible to all users who can see the Resources.
