Project plans and Resource schedules are nothing without the your staff and workforce to get the job done. So while it’s important to communicate plans, there always needs to be a balance about what you share and who it’s shared with. In this section you’ll find all the materials for sharing plans and adding Users, without compromising security.
Add, edit, and manage all Users via the Users list. Find the icon on the bottom left.
Users in Ganttic
There are 3 types of users in Ganttic - Owners, Administrators and Users.
- Owners can access all areas, items and functions of the system.
- Administrators can access all areas, items and functions of the system by default, except for Your Account (for Owners only).
- Users have to be given rights to add/edit selected items (Resources, Tasks, Reports, Data Fields, Views) or to access non-public Views.
Only Owners and Admins can add new Users and create User Groups. If you want your team to join Ganttic, add them directly or send them an invite. One of the best things about Ganttic’s resource planner, is that you only pay per Resource, NOT User.

Permissions and Security
Once you’ve added your Users, Admins are still in control! Maybe some Users have more rights than others. Or perhaps there’s certain Projects that one branch of your company can see, while another can’t.
This is easily solvable by creating User Groups and setting permissions for these groups or even individual Users. Even Data Fields' visibility and editing rights are adjustable for each User.
