Ganttic’s Account History Log keeps track of all the changes made to your planner. See the History of Tasks, Projects, Resources, Data Fields and more. Plus learn how to restore Archived and Deleted items from the History Log.
Must Know
- Account History Log is available for Owner and Admin users only.
- The History Log is found by clicking the G icon at the top of the left Sidebar.
- None of the History log entries can be altered or deleted - giving you full access to everything that's happened when you weren’t looking.
- You can search for a specific date range, user, event, item, action, etc.
- Use the Account History Log to restore deleted Resources, Tasks, Projects, and Data Fields.
- The Log can also be used to restore Archived Projects and Resources.
Using the Account History Log
- Click on the Ganttic (G) logo at the top of the left Sidebar. This will open the account's History log.
- Click on the fields on top of the list to search within a specific date range, action, user, event, status etc. Click and select a value from the drop-down or type in the action description criteria manually.
- Click on the field titles to sort any column by A-Z or Z-A. The up- or down-arrow will indicate which option is applied.
- Navigate through the different pages at the top.
- To view each item's History log, scroll to the right and click on the three-dotted icon. Click Open to learn more. Or Restore Archived and Deleted items.

From the History Log, it’s possible to make some archived and deleted items active again.
Restoring Archived Items
From the Account log, Archived Projects and Resources can be restored
- In the status section, choose Archived. All archived Resources and Projects will be displayed within the selected time period.
Tip: You can also search by the object or the User who did the action. - Click the ellipsis (three-dot icon) to the left of the deleted item.
- Hit Restore project.
- Reload the app to see the archived item back in action.
Tip: Another way to restore archived items is via the Archive folders found on the Project and Resource Lists.
Restoring Deleted Items
From the Account log, a deleted item can be restored within 30 days of its deletion.
- In the Status field dropdown, choose Deleted. All deleted Resources, Tasks, Projects, and Data Fields will be displayed within the selected time period.
Tip: You can also search by the object or the User who applied the action. - Click the ellipsis (three-dot icon) to the left of the deleted item.
- Hit Restore item.
- Reload the app to see the deleted item back in action.
Tip: Another way to restore deleted items is via the Deleted folders found on the Project and Resource Lists.
Next Steps
The general account History Log is available for Owners and Admin users only. Regular Users can still view the separate History logs for Tasks (depends on User's Resource permissions), Resources (depends on User's Resource permissions) and Projects (depends on User's Project permissions).
