The Resource Edit Dialog is a convenient way to edit any of your planner’s Resources and their related data. Discover how to use it for customizing and updating Resources.
Must Know
- By clicking on any Resource, the Resource Edit Dialog window will pop open. It contains various editing and customization options for individual resources.
- All Owners, Admins and Users with Resource Task add/edit rights can update the Resource Edit Dialog.
- Tasks and Projects also have similarly designed Dialogs available for editing.
Editing Resources
- Click on a Resource to open the Resource Edit Dialog. In the Dialog toolbar you’ll see icons from left to right:
- Archive Resource - remove the resource from the schedule without deleting it.
- Delete Resource - permanently deleted from the account
- Sync Resource with Google or Outlook Calendar
- Resource work-time settings - set resource-specific holidays, business hours, and business days. Overrides account work-time settings.
- Resource reminders and notifications - a way to send email reminders and notifications about actions related to selected Resource’s Tasks, etc.
- Resource Notes - collaborative comments
- Resource Data Fields - a way to add resource-specific information for sorting, and grouping or filtering (i.e. role, certifications, department, etc.)
- Resource History - a log of all actions applied to this specific Resource
- In the Dialog itself you can change the Resource’s Name, Color or Icon.
Tip! Resource Colors are a way to view all resource's tasks in resource colors. - Resource Data Fields may also be edited or updated. Data Fields with a * are mandatory and may not be left blank.
NB! If editing Resources within a View, new Resource Data Fields may be added within the Resource Edit Dialog. If editing from the Resource List, new Data Fields can only be added from the Resource List toolbar. - Once the Resource is edited, hit Save.
